Our planning process for each project includes a comprehensive project feasibility assessment, which incorporates the following:
The feasibility assessment is a critical component in the collaborative process between Sela and the client in determining the optimal solution.
Our focus is to reduce our clients’ energy costs and meet the highest sustainability goals. We are also dedicated to saving our clients’ time and effort. Therefore, we handle all of the procurement and installation and coordinate every facet of the project execution. We even manage the submission of tax credit claims and permitting. In ensuring that the clients’ goals are met, we continue to monitor and track the performance of the systems which we provide.
Solar thermal energy is generated by harnessing the sun’s heat and using it to heat water for residential, commercial and industrial purposes. Solar heat collectors are optimally positioned to collect maximum potential heat from the sun. This heat is transferred to a fluid which flows through pipes which run through the solar collectors. This fluid flowsto a heat exchanger which transfers the heat directly to a special hot water tank and then to the tap. These systems can be scaled as necessary to provide hot water for any type of application.
Otherwise known as photovoltaic or solar PV, Solar electric power is derived by converting direct sunlight into electricity. Solar panels which are comprised of semi-conductor cells are optimally positioned and mounted to absorb maximum potential sunlight throughout the course of a year. As solar radiation hits the panels, a process is ignited whereby energy is released through the semi-conductor cells and direct current electricity is generated. This is then transferred to an inverter which converts the DC electricity into AC electricity in order to deliver power to the electric grid and to buildings. The end users enjoy the benefits of offsetting their own power consumption from the grid and reversing the movement of the electric meter. With battery backup and energy storage more prevalent today in the PV market, a PV system can actually provide clean, free power directly to the end user in scenarios where grid power is unavailable.
