RESOURCE AND
IMPLEMENTATION PLANNING

Sela Energy partners with institutional, governmental, and commercial clients. This allows us to best assess the available resources and the feasibility of implementing renewable energy generation. We construct levelized cost of energy (LCOE) modeling and provide implementation planning.

We are experienced in providing technical and qualitative reporting on various renewable resource types. These projects include statewide Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) feasibility assessments for state Public Service Commissions. Our detailed and methodological framework is geared specifically towards tasks such as this.

Sela Energy’s step-by-step, collaborative process enables us to conduct our analyses and recommendations. We develop and implement a stakeholder input process. This ensures a clear and comprehensive final product. We include representatives from public utilities, environmental groups, government agencies, rate-payer alliances, local businesses and other groups in a stakeholder task force. This task force meets several times throughout the course of the reporting process in order to ensure that we make available all possible resources and knowledge which pertain to the goals of the project.

Our multi-disciplinary approach melds technical knowledge of Solar, Wind, Biomass, Hydrokinetic and other renewable energy technologies. We use an expanded economic modeling framework which allows us to assess implications of job creation and other indirect effects of renewable energy implementation.

Our end goal is to empower our clients to make their own educated determinations about how best to implement and deploy renewable energy solutions to fit their needs

In order to provide truly in-depth analyses on the long term implications of renewable energy deployment to factors such as job creation, land use, etc, Sela Energy works in close partnership with The Chesapeake Group, one of the mid-Atlantic region's most experienced consulting firms in land-use, economic development, transportation, market analysis, urban planning, and project financing.
